The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a human rights document authored by the United Nations. The declaration was drafted by cultural representatives all over the world and legal experts. On December 10, 1948 in Paris the UN General Assembly adopted the UDHR as a universal mission to practice fundamental freedoms. The UDHR consists of a preamble and thirty articles covering the values of the intergovernmental organization.
